Dear Tom,
Sorry I have been so long writing. I trust Joan and yourself and everyone at home are well. I am very well and happy, I have just moved into a new apartment, penthouse style. I have been here for just over a week and an in the process of buying furniture and furnishing it. Right now a friend of mine who makes Scandinavian furniture is fitting in my bar that I am having built in the living room. So whenever it takes my fancy I can always have a shot now and then.
I have also a brand new portable R.C.A victor television which cost me $300. I bought it mainly because of working in T.V. Yes I am still working at C.B.C and doing very well. I have made an animated film using my graphics last year and and now working on another. It is nice sometimes to come home from the studio and turn on T.V and see my own work, it gives me quite a charge. They also give me credits on the screen. Sometimes a voice over credit. And then I get the odd fan of mine phoning me with congratulations - big deal!!
Working in T.V. is great fun. I get to meeting quite a few celebrities. The other week I had lunch with Ed Sullivan, he was up here doing a show for C.B.C. and auditioning some local talent.
Yes I really am having a great life. I have found that if you want anything in life you have to take a chance and go after it, for newer finds you. It’s good to move around even from jobs, at least while one is young. Then there’s a better chance of finding the right peg for the right hole!
By the way I am happy to tell you that I have had 10 illustrations accepted in this years Toronto Art Directors show. It’s a big deal, there will be a dinner and the opening night everyone comes in evening attire for cocktails, there is also an orchestra playing while everyone stares at the exhibits overs their martinis. I will have myself made a dark evening suit tuxedo style for the opening. There will be a nicely bound designed annual, I will send a copy to you.

You said you had a wedding photograph for me. I haven’t received it yet. I would like one very much. Otherwise if I don’t get any pictures of you people back there I’ll forget what you all look like. Anyhow I an enclosing a picture of Irma and I taken a couple of weeks back.
You say you have some money for me from mum about £7 or $20. I appreciate that Tom but give the money to Dennis and tell him it’s a gift from me, okay.
