Toronto
Dear Tom & Boys,
I am now in Toronto again at my old address. Gerti got a room for me and paid the rent. I had a good drive up from New York in my M.G. and she performed brilliantly. Except one go my brake pads on the front disc brakes was shot as I arrived in Toronto. So my mechanic put on a new pad. And told me I can pay him when I have got a job.
Hansi and all my friends were waiting for me at their place until 3am in the morning with cases of beer to give me a welcome home party. But I went straight to Rowanwood because Gerti was waiting in the room she got me.
I can get unemployment money but I think I will have a job before I collect it.
All my friends were waiting for me at their place until 3am in the morning with cases of beer to give me a welcome home party
So could you make sure all of my things are on the way because I really need them for living and my work. Either Rowanwood or Hansi’s addresses would be fine.
Once I have a job I can pay you back pretty fast. My cars return trip cost only $145 - not bad eh!
With the trunk there is another crate with some unfinished oil paintings and some of my samples of work. And I want to finish off the oil paintings because I might be able to sell them.
Gerti still very much wants to go to Paris with me so I am going to start saving.
So everything is fine and once I have all my things here I can really start work again.
So Tom look after yourself and the boys.
Many regards,
Dave
